The story of the tribal hero
Lewaso Cottages is the first safari camp owned by, managed by and run for the benefit of the Masai people of Kenya.
It was set up by Paul Lebeneyio, a Masai warrior who worked at many prestigious camps before realising his dream: a venture whose profits were directed straight back into the community.
When a client’s story is as rich as this, the natural place to start is simply to sit and listen. We heard some amazing tales around the campfire in Kenya, including accounts of the Masai jumping ceremony that went on to inspire our dynamic brand identity.
The vibrant triangle motif we created was a great success with our client, appearing across a range of sustainable contexts and materials, from hand-painted vehicles to traditional beadwork.
